Used Loader Sales in Chandler, AZ
Why You Should Choose a Loader
Getting the right equipment for your site is an important step in prepping for a swift and efficient project, but it can also be difficult to know which machine is best for you. That’s where Arizona Tractor Sales comes in. We’re here to help you narrow down your options from wheel loaders, skid-steers, and backhoe loaders. Once you’re ready to start looking at your options, stop by our location in Chandler near Mesa, Phoenix and Tucson, AZ to see what we have available right now.
Wheel Loader
We’ll start on the generally smaller end (though this is by no means absolute). Wheel loaders are often going to be more consistently compact, but more in a relative sense as there is no real definition for what constitutes “compact.” As you’re looking at your options, you might notice that they have a higher initial price tag, but part of this is because long-term operating costs--including fuel--is often lower.
You might also find that these machines are a little easier, or at least more intuitive, to operate. This is because they come with more traditional wheel and steering options, so there’s less finagling with the controls.
Skid Steer Loader
While it’s true that wheel loaders are often smaller overall, skid steer loaders are often the shorter choice. This can be ideal for tight working spaces in which three-point turns aren’t exactly feasible. They can essentially turn without requiring more room than they’re already occupying. This is thanks to the skidding motion their tires use to move around.
Backhoe Loader
Backhoe loaders are generally on the bigger side of the spectrum. This is because they don’t just have the loader in front of the driver, but a second one behind them. This can allow you to accomplish more tasks using just one machine, even if you need a little more space to do it. They’re heavy, but they’re sturdy. Even in some of the most brutal conditions, they’ll keep going.
Front End Loader
A front-end loader is traditionally a semi-curved loader that is designed as an attachment for smaller vehicles. The front end loader family is used primarily for grounds maintenance and landscape chores, though they can tackle certain larger jobs depending on the quality of material being managed.
Which is Best?
The answer isn’t as easy as choosing “the best one.” You’ll need to understand the limits and needs of your job and find a machine that fits those limits and needs. Think about how low or high the payload needs to be, how much space you have to work with, and what your operators are comfortable with, along with what you can afford.
